Hi, I’m Katie.

Believe it or not, I wasn’t always the girly makeup artist you see today. My journey actually began in finance, working in accounting and as a personal assistant—a role I truly enjoyed and one that taught me the importance of professionalism, organisation, and always giving 100% to everything I do.

Makeup, for me, started as a creative outlet. I used to experiment with SFX looks on friends and family purely for fun, never imagining it could become a career. But sometimes, life has a way of redirecting us.



Katie’s Faces was born during a really painful chapter of my life. One of my best friends kept asking me to do her makeup for a party—and eventually, I said yes. Her friends noticed, started booking me too, and from that moment, everything changd.

I quickly realised that what I loved most wasn’t just the creative side—it was how it made people feel. Watching someone look in the mirror and light up with confidence? That’s what I became addicted to. Helping women feel beautiful, empowered, and like the best version of themselves is still my favourite part of the job.

Now, I’m lucky enough to be a part of some of the most important days in people’s lives. I’m always honoured when a bride trusts me to be by her side on her wedding morning. I genuinely care about building real connections with every client who sits in my chair.

Of course, I couldn’t share this journey without mentioning my daughter, Layke. She’s my biggest motivation and the reason I strive so hard to grow this business. She came into the world three years ago, and shortly after, my best friend and I opened Twenty Two Studios—our elegant, welcoming salon space filled with amazing, talented women.

At Twenty Two Studios, we’ve built more than just a beauty destination. We’ve created a space where brides can come and feel completely taken care of—from makeup to hair, skin to nails, and everything in between. Our team offers:
